One
of San Francisco’s most charming and exclusive neighborhoods,
Russian Hill is dotted with tiny gardens and
parks known only to the locals. This area offers ourstanding
views of San Francisco Bay and downtown and streets which are
steep or winding, or both. The architectural and green patchwork
that makes up Russian Hill is embroidered with cable car lines.
Some of San Francisco’s oldest homes keep watch from a
lovely enclave between Taylor and Jones. Russian Hill’s
commercial area is to the west, on upper Polk and Hyde streets,
though many locals also walk down the hill to North Beach.
